Hello there! :D That’s not entirely a silly question dear and I wish I could give you more solid answers but seeing as I’ve yet to experience the dynamics of a stage door myself or met Ben personally – I do not have a step by step guide to tell you by default.
Here are some tips however:
As I mentioned to another asker, just try to be yourself, remain calm, and talk normally and politely when he gets to you. PLEASE DO NOT YELL, PUSH, INSULT (HIM OR ANOTHER FAN) OR STALK HIM/MARK OR FOLLOW EITHER OF THEM OR BOTH FURTHER OR BEYOND THE STAGE DOOR FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT OR FOR CURIOSITY REASONS.
Yes, we are all excited and will “miss” him when he leaves the stage door or even perhaps miss him in signing but following him elsewhere or longer than needed could seriously cause him to feel largely uncomfortable and possibly you arrested if it were bad enough. Remember he is human like the rest of us and most likely tired after each and every show. I have no advice for “catching him in another place” because he’s not our property to begin with (not to sound harsh friend) and we’re just human fans and he’s just a human actor and trying to find him elsewhere outside of the arrangements of a theatre venue is not exactly something anyone should even be considering. Respect his space outside of working and respect his space when he’s near you (unless given permission to do otherwise).
Anyway, everyone says Ben is very lovely and that is completely easy to see and understand even to those, like myself, who have not met him yet. I’m sure he’ll love your gifts as well! <3 Hope this helped! :D
